Michele Rayner: EXPERIENCED AND PROVEN LEADER WHO WILL FIGHT FOR YOU
As local counsel for the NAACP Legal Defense fund, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Michele Rayner was born and raised from a long line of service in Pinellas County. Her mother was one of the first Black social-workers in St. Petersburg, Florida, and both uncles served in both local and state elected office and each instilled the importance of public service. Rayner’s experience as an aide in the Florida Legislature, fighting for justice in the courtroom, and using activism to create change in our community exemplify the kind of servant leadership that District 62 can continue to rely on.
Michele Rayner is no stranger to taking on tough issues. As an attorney, Rayner has represented families in some of the toughest social justice and civil rights cases right here in Pinellas County – like Markeis McGlockton; an unarmed Black man killed in a Clearwater convenience store parking lot. As your State Representative, she has taken on the Republican majority and their extreme agenda while also being able to file and pass bills that were signed by the Governor to bring resources back to our communities.

RAYNER has increased access to quality healthcare and resources for all of us impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic in HD 62 and will continue to advocate to expand access to health care for Floridians.
RAYNER will continue to advocate for housing affordability and work with stakeholders at a regional and state level to create incentivizing programs that ensure housing is accessible to all.
RAYNER has brought resources to our district that provide additional opportunities for workforce readiness through workforce development programs and apprenticeship programs. She will continue to ensure that our families in our community are on the road to economic recovery.
RAYNER will fight an extreme Republican agenda that attacks our freedoms and civil liberties relating to our voting rights, reproductive justice, and creating safe spaces for all of our children within our classrooms.
RAYNER will work to ensure that all of our children have a quality education that is equitably funded no matter where they choose to attend.
